If you love to cook as much as me then one of your many cooking tools has to be a programmable crock pot. Back in the day when my mother used to cook for me I remember the smell of a roast cooking up in the crock pot. It made the whole house smell like heaven. And when we ate it got even better. After all what is better than a slow cooked tender home cooked meal?

Back a while ago crock pots had just a few settings to choose from. I remember my mother’s had a little dial that had three settings. Hot medium and warm and that was all. Pretty simple huh? Yea well now when things aren’t so simple it sounds good to get back to that type of simplicity. Well you don’t need to worry because it is pretty much just as easy to operate a programmable crock pot.

With a new programmable crock pot your can program the temperature and cooking time. Some of the more advanced ones have presets for the different types and weights of meat you may be cooking. Kind of like the popcorn button on a new microwave. They also will automatically turn the temperature down to a warm setting when the cooking is done to prevent overcooking. They also have a digital display where you can see the temperature and the time you have left till the meal is finally done.

Eating a meal that came out of a crock pot brings everyone I know back in time to a special place in their hearts. The taste is also very delicious and the meal is very healthy for you to eat. Now it is time to step into the future of slow cooking and get yourself a programmable crock pot.

If you love cooking then you must have a Rival crock pot. And if you have had one for a while then you must have been in the market for a Rival crock pot lid. I have broken mine a few times over the years. Once it was because one of the kids bumped into me and another time the dog decided to help himself to the meal and broke my lid.

It can be frustrating thinking that you need to buy a whole new cooker when all you need is a simple cover. It is hard however to find just a Rival crock pot lid. I searched and searched the first time mine broke but couldn’t find one so I went out and bought a new Rival crock pot. I was pretty mad when my friend told me that the same thing had happened to her and she was able to find a lid that fit hers for a pretty cheap price as well.

She told me that she found one on ebay. I searched the next time mine broke and was able to find one as well. With a clumsy house like mine with a thousand things going on all around me at all times it really is easy to break a Rival crock pot lid. I hope I will never need to buy one again but you never know with all the hustle and bustle of today’s world things can get pretty hectic especially in the kitchen.

So if you are as clumsy as me and easily break things especially when your kids are bumping into when cooking then you will also soon need a Rival crock pot lid. Look on ebay and search the internet and hopefully you’ll find one.
